Sinus Lift & Bone Graft

Rebuilding a strong foundation so dental implants have lasting support.

Sinus lift & bone graft for dental implants

When the upper jaw doesn’t have enough bone height for an implant — often because of the sinus position or bone loss after a missing tooth — a sinus lift or bone graft rebuilds that foundation so an implant has strong, lasting support.

How it works

  • The procedure adds bone (or bone-building material) where it’s needed.
  • It can be done before, or sometimes alongside, implant placement.
  • Comfort options, including IV sedation, are available.

The grafting materials we use

We perform bone grafting for the cases that need it, choosing from a range of proven sources depending on the site:

  • Mineralized and demineralized corticocancellous bone — well-established grafting material that gives new bone a scaffold to grow into.
  • Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) — prepared from a small sample of your own blood, PRF concentrates your body’s natural growth factors at the site to support healing and bone regeneration.

Because PRF comes from you, it works with your body’s own healing rather than relying only on outside material.

Recovery

Bone builds over a period of months before an implant is placed or restored; your specific timeline and aftercare from Dr. Fatemi always take priority. See our aftercare guidance.
