Emergency dental care
Please read this before anything else: we are not a 24-hour emergency practice, and we are not an emergency room. If your problem cannot wait, or you cannot reach us, go to your nearest hospital emergency room.
Go straight to an ER or call 911 if you have
- Facial swelling that is affecting your breathing or swallowing.
- Bleeding you cannot get under control.
- An injury to the jaw, or a blow to the head.

Call Gaithersburg (301) 740-2686 or Lexington Park (301) 737-4747. Outside office hours our answering machine records your message and emails it straight to the practice, so it reaches Dr. Fatemi directly rather than sitting with a call centre.
Dr. Fatemi answers these himself, as soon as he reasonably can — and we would rather be straight with you about what that means. A message left at two in the morning is answered in the morning, not overnight. If your situation cannot wait that long, please go to the emergency room rather than waiting for a call back.

- Severe or worsening tooth pain.
- A knocked-out, loose, or broken tooth.
- Swelling, or signs of infection.
- A lost filling or crown causing pain.
